FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH has set "American Capitalist" as the title of its third album, tentatively due in the fall. The follow-up to 2009's "War Is The Answer", which is expected to include 14 songs, was recorded with producer Kevin Churko, who helmed Ozzy Osbourne's 2010 effort "Scream". The CD's first single, "Under And Over It", is scheduled to make its online debut on July 27.

The "Big Four" bands of 1980s thrash metal — METALLICA, MEGADETH, SLAYER and ANTHRAX — played the third show of their European tour in Milan.

The highly anticipated onstage performance of the "Big Four" bands at the same time happened near the end of METALLICA's set, between "Enter Sandman" and "Damage Inc.". Members of ANTHRAX, SLAYER and MEGADETH joined METALLICA on stage for a cover of MISFITS' "Die, Die My Darling" before METALLICA ended the night with "Creeping Death".

According to Musica Metal, ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian, who is sitting out nearly a dozen shows on the band's current tour in order to spend time with his family following the birth of his first child (his temporary replacement is SEPULTURA's Andreas Kisser), rejoined the group exclusively for the Italian date, claiming halfway through ANTHRAX's set that he loves Italy too much to miss out on the opportunity to play the country again. Ian also took part in the "Big Four" jam session, as did SLAYER's Dave Lombardo, who missed the Gothenburg "Big Four" jam on July 3 because he was getting tattoo work done on his arm. SLAYER guitarists Kerry King and Gary Holt (filling in for Jeff Hanneman) each had a beer on stage during the "Die, Die My Darling" performance, but didn't participate in the jam.

The members of SLAYER could not join the July 2 "Am I Evil?" (DIAMOND HEAD) jam at the "Big Four" show in Gelsenkirchen, Germany due to their travel arrangements to get to the next concert. They also missed the following night's performance of "Helpless" (DIAMOND HEAD) in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Commented the band: "We are very happy with how 'Neutralize The Threat' came out. Musically, it resembles the song structures on 'To The Death', but with a 'Gomorah's Season Ends' vibe thrown in. Every song is lyrically inspired by real-life vigilante actions that have taken place around the globe. The topics range from The Black Panther party to Bernard Goetz and we think it's an original lyrical concept for the band, while also retaining some subject matter we are known for dealing with in the past. EARTH CRISIS' chugging riffs and barked declarations served as the mouthpiece of America's militant vegan, straight-edge movement throughout the '90s, detailing the ideas of animal and human liberation, drug-free living and personal empowerment through hardcore music. The group has continued along this path of breaking new ground, constantly working and reaching more people spreading their message to the masses.

After a lengthy hiatus, the band reformed in 2008 to the delight of the hardcore genre. They soon produced the vicious offering "To The Death" that undoubtedly proved that they have never been stronger from both songwriting and musicianship perspectives.

According to TheChronicleHerald.ca, the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada is threatening to deny municipal services for METALLICA's July 14 concert on the Garrison Grounds unless promoter Harold MacKay repays approximately CAD $360,000 to the city.
